Political Cartoons based on the Armenian Genocide
Tools used:
-Label : Turkey Flag
-Analogy: Soldiers trying to wept the skulls away = Turkish government tried to hide the truth.
-Symbolism: Skulls = Dead citizens from the genocide
- Irony: None
In this cartoon, the main idea of it is the Turkish government tried to hide the ugly truth that they’re trying to exterminate the Armenian. They tried to protect their reputation by eliminate all those that are willing to go against them.

Tools used
-Symbolism: Skeleton represents the dead citizens; The wall represents the withdrawal (or the isolation)
-Label: Turkey flag
-Analogy: Wall that protect the turkey flag from the U.S airplane = Turkish government stopped supporting the U.S.A if they accuse the Turkish government for doing genocide.
-Irony: None
This cartoon means that even though it’s very obvious what the Turkish government have done is bad but they denied the truth and they refused to support the U.S.A if the U.S.A accuse them for doing genocide.

-Symbolism: The guy represents the international community and what the community had thought.
-Label: None
-Analogy: The guy speaking up his mind like that represents how the intermational community spoke up but was ignore.
-Irony: None
This cartoon means that whatever the international community say, the ideas and comments were ignored by the world. But then when it’s the world’s turn to say what it thinks, there’re tons of comments speaking up for the Armenian genocide.
